Embrace is a flexible curriculum that is offered in three formats:
- Couple-to-Couple mentoring
In this format, you will be matched with a trained Mentor couple who will accompany you through the course. Usually couples meet in the Mentors’ home once a week for six weeks. The meeting times can be flexibly managed to accommodate both you and your Mentors' availability. For couples who live in remote areas, a correspondence arrangement is also possible. The couple to couple format allows mentors and the engaged to give added attention to areas of interest and is ideal for engaged couples who want to explore their relationship in depth.
- Small home-based group
In this format, small groups of 2 to 5 engaged couples meet over a two month period in the home of the Mentor couple. When possible, session 4 is offered individually allowing engaged couples the freedom to explore the topic more fully with their Mentor couple. This format is of particular benefit for couples who enjoy interacting with other engaged couples.
- Large group seminar
Offered on either six evenings or over two full days, the large group format may have up to 40 couples depending on the venue (usually a parish or school facility). This format allows engaged couples to attend anonymously as the busy schedule allows little opportunity for social conversation with other couples. Usually, a team of married couples host and presents the course.
